Department German as a Foreign Language (DaF)
Welcome at the University of Cologne Department German as a Foreign Language!
The Department German as a Foreign Language offers general language, preparatory and specific language courses for international students and scholars. In addition, we conduct the German Language Examination for University Admission (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang, DSH) and are a licensed test centre for the examination of telc C1 Hochschule and TestDaF.

Language café for exchange with other students (from level B1).
Language Learning Counselling and Writing Support
The individual language learning counselling and writing support is a complementary offer for international students and refugees participating in the preparatory German classes at the Department German as a Foreign Language.
Language Examinations
