What is a Certificate of Study Progress and how can I obtain such a document?

You will receive a certificate of completion of your studies at the time of exmatriculation or at the end of your studies. It serves as proof of the courses and subjects studied since your first matriculation. The Certificate of Study Progress does not contain any information on academic and examination achievements.
If you have studied at the University of Cologne, you can generate a Certificate of Study Progress from KLIPS 2.0 under "Printouts for Students".
Alternatively, please enclose a certificate of enrolment or a document showing your initial enrolment at a German university.

How do I have to submit the necessary documents for the University Statistics Law?

You can upload the required documents to the system as a scan when registration is complete. Alternatively, you can submit the required documents to your promotion office.

Where can I find the confirmation that I have registered in Docfile?

Once you have logged in, you will find the required document as a PDF file for download under "My profile", "Doctoral file" ("D") under the section "Documents".

Can documents also be uploaded at a later time?

Yes, you can save the Acceptance Assistant at any time and upload your documents at a later time. On the other hand, the documents can also be uploaded after the assistant has been fully completed. You will find the option "Upload documents" under the tab "Documents" in your "Doctoral Student File".
