Diverse Faculties – shared impact
Transfer is an integral part of daily life at the University of Cologne. The six Faculties play an active role in shaping it by contributing their own expertise and perspectives.
This becomes particularly evident in teacher training: four Faculties are pooling their expertise for this purpose. In this way, research is linked to practical training, giving it a direct impact on society.

Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences – Knowledge that makes an impact
The Faculty is actively involved in the areas of research transfer, lifelong learning and social commitment. Another focus is on entrepreneurship and the implementation of research results in business start-ups.
Hands-on experience is essential: students already work together with companies during their studies. The capstone projects at the end of the degree programme give students a valuable opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice.
As part of their teacher training, students take an active role in shaping everyday student life through practical projects. Through their close ties to society, affiliated institutes play a crucial role in sharpening the Faculty’s transfer profile.
