Division International Affairs

The University of Cologne sees its research and teaching as a global responsibility for shaping the development of science and education, society and living conditions. The central task of the Division ‘International Affairs’ (International Office) is therefore the implementation, promotion and strategic development of internationalisation at all levels of the university (research, studies, teaching and administration).

This area of responsibility includes advising the Rectorate and the faculties on international topics, establishing and expanding university cooperation and international networks, acquiring third-party funding for the implementation of international cooperation projects, implementing mobility programmes, advising and supporting academics, alumni, graduates and students, developing programmes regarding 'Internationlization at Home' as well as establishing admission and enrolment procedures for international students and implententing a wide range of 'German as a Foreign Language' courses.
