LEAD! 2024/25 Wrap-Up
Forty DAAD scholarship holders from all over Germany are meeting at the University of Cologne this weekend to complete the LEAD! programme.
The Master's students come from various African countries and take part in the ‘Leadership for Africa’ scholarship programme to complete an international Master's programme at various German universities.
The International Office of the University of Cologne was selected to offer LEAD! an accompanying programme for all scholarship holders with a focus on governance, sustainability and job market readiness.
During the weekend, participants will meet representatives from the DAAD, KölnBusiness and a talent scout from the Gateway Start-Up Centre. Highlights of the programme include coaching on voice and body language and a visit to the teaching mine, which is hidden under the auditorium. At the end of the programme, all participants will present their individual development plans, which they have developed in collaboration with a network of academic mentors from countries in the Global South, before finally receiving their certificates.
