
Erasmus in Cologne
We are pleased that you are interested in an exchange semester/year at the University of Cologne (UoC) as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
Application, Selection, Nomination
You are applying at your home university for an Erasmus semester/ year at UoC.
If you have been selected, the Erasmus coordinator at your home university will send an official nomination to the UoC. This will be sent to the Erasmus coordinators in the faculties as well as to Department 9 - International Affairs.
After we have received the nomination from your home university, we will send you an e-mail in May (for the winter semester/full academic year) or November (for the summer semester) with all important information.
How do I apply?
The application is submitted via the online application portal KLIPS 2.0.
You will receive a detailled application manual at the start of the application period.
When do I apply?
The application periods in KLIPS 2.0 are:
- Winter semester/full academic year: 15 May to 15 July
- Summer semester: 15 November to 15 January
With which documents do I apply?
Please complete the online application in KLIPS 2.0 and then send the “Application for Admission”, which you must download in KLIPS 2.0, by e-mail to erasmus_studentsverw.uni-koeln.de
Erasmus students at the Faculty of Medicine need to send additional documents to ZIB Med, which can be found on the following website: zibmed.uni-koeln.de.
How and when will I receive my letter of admission?
You can track the status of your application via KLIPS 2.0 applicant account. As soon as your application has been processed, you will receive an e-mail and will be able to download the letter of admission in KLIPS 2.0.
What is the enrolment process?
You will receive detailled information about the enrolment process with the application manual that will be sent to you at the start oft he application period on 15 May or 15 November.
The enrolment deadlines are:
• Winter semester/full academic year: 31 July
• Summer semester: 31 January
How do I arrange my courses? Who signs my Learning Agreement?
You can only select courses from the course catalogue via KLIPS 2.0 once your enrolment process has been successfully completed. For information on the courses, their contents and course registration, please contact the International Relations Center (ZIB) oft he faculty that you are going to study at.
The colleagues at ZIB or the Erasmus coordinators of the faculties are also entitled to sign your Learning Agreement. Please note: your Learning Agreement cannot be signed by colleagues from the International Office.
