September 20th, 12 PM (EST) | 5th Avenue, New York, New York
The Steuben Parade celebrates German, Austrian, and Swiss-American culture and traditions as well as achievements of the many Germanic immigrants to the United States. There are various other events in NYC each September - the "German-American Friendship Month", an Oktoberfest at Central Park following the parade and a different mix of bands, dance troupes, and other organizations.
This year marks the 68th anniversary of the German-American Steuben Parade. The University of Cologne New York Office in the past contributed with ideas to the float design and will again be marching as part of the German float. German Consul General Till Knorn will be the Grand Marshall of this year's parade.
