Coordination of regulations at Faculty level
At Faculty level, the Faculty Council is responsible for issuing regulations in accordance with Section 64 subsection 1 sentence 1 of the Higher Education Act. It is advised by the Academic Advisory Board; half of its members are students. The votes of both groups count the same.
If the Faculty Council does not wish to follow a proposal of the Academic Advisory Board regarding organizational matters of an examination regulation, it must decide by a two-thirds majority; in the case of other matters by a simple majority (Section 64 subsection 1 sentence 2 HG). In doing so, the participation of the students is guaranteed. Other faculty committees may also be given the opportunity to comment on the planned regulations.
