Information:

Regions have changed due to digitalization, such as Silicon Valley, Shenzhen, Berlin and Munich. In addition to the large metropolis, also small and medium-sized cities, peri-urban areas and rural regions experience change, for example by practices of home-office and the use of co-working spaces. In addition, digitalization has impacts on different industries. Start-ups emerge, as well as new industries. With regard of jobs, some mature industrial sectors and firms show growth, others are characterized by job loss. Governments try to implement regulation, such as for data safety and for critical contents. On the local level, various actors also take part in the implementation of digitalization and AI as driving forces for sustainable regional development.
