A central element of the Summer School was the interdisciplinary group projects, in which participants creatively expressed their impressions and insights. Working in teams of three to four – some on-site, some online, and some hybrid – they chose between three formats: creating short media projects, developing social start-up concepts, or combining both. Many on-site and hybrid groups produced one-minute short films or reels with their smartphones, inspired by the Visual Storytelling workshop. These films addressed topics such as intergenerational justice, cultural impressions of Cologne, or personal reflections on the Summer School experience. Online-oriented groups designed innovative business ideas with a social or environmental focus, using the Social Business Model Canvas learned in the Future Entrepreneurship workshop. The presentations, held over the final two days, combined media contributions, conceptual outlines, and insights into the group process. The final presentations offered a vibrant mix of media creativity and social innovation, highlighting both individual journeys and shared global concerns. The three most compelling projects were selected and awarded, with the winners featured on the Summer School’s website and social media channels. In the following section, each group project is briefly introduced.
