UMC Utrecht is conducting the VACCELERATE CoVacc Study to investigate whether one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is as effective as two doses for children aged 5 to 11 who have previously had COVID-19.

The study aims to determine if a single shot offers similar protection, with fewer side effects and less stress for the child. The study enrolled children in Europe, including the Netherlands, who have had COVID-19 but not yet been vaccinated.
The study compares the effects of one versus two injections on immune response and protection against new variants.

In this exclusive webinar on the CoVacc Study, Patricia Bruijning-Verhagen will provide an in-depth overview of the study's key findings, its impact on public health, and the ongoing research in the field of COVID-19 vaccinations for children.
