Transfer to society
The University Award for Transfer into Society recognises outstanding achievements that effectively transfer knowledge, research results or innovative approaches from the University of Cologne into society. The award recognises activities that promote sustainable exchange between science and/or partners from business, politics, culture or civil society and/or translate the social added value of university work into practice. To be eligible for nomination, the measures or projects must have been implemented in the last three years and have had a demonstrable social impact.
The Rectorate decides on the awarding of the University Prize in the category Transfer to Society on the recommendation of the Transfer Commission.
Nominated may be:
- Students
- Doctoral candidates
- University professors
- Academic staff
- Employees from technical and administrative departments
- Working groups and initiatives
Eligible to make proposals are all members of the university:
- Students
- Doctoral candidates

- Academic staff
- Employees in technical and administrative departments
