Prof. Marc Oliver Bettzüge will begin his second term on the German Federal Government's Council of Experts on Climate Issues on 1 September. The professor of economics, energy and sustainability at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and director of the Institute of Energy Economics (EWI) will thus once again be one of the five expert members of the interdisciplinary committee. The committee reviews the emission data submitted by the Federal Environment Agency and submits an assessment to the German Federal Government and the German Bundestag. Social expertise is also taken into account in this process.
