The University of Cologne once again successfully took part in this year's Stadtradeln campaign, demonstrating its commitment to climate protection and sustainable mobility. During the campaign period from 11 June to 1 July 2025, more than 300 students and employees of the University of Cologne took part in the initiative and together cycled more than 57,000 kilometers - an impressive team result. Through their efforts, the University team was not only able to make a contribution to avoiding CO₂ emissions, but also secured an excellent 4th place in the overall ranking of the city of Cologne out of 492 participating teams - another significant improvement on the previous year (7th place). The great response within the university was particularly pleasing: numerous sub-teams from various institutions and departments were highly motivated and achieved remarkable individual performances.
