UOC COMPETENCE DAYS

AI in Higher Education

From February 2nd to 4th, 2026, the Vice-Rector for Teaching and Studies and the ITCC are inviting you to the UoC Competence Days ‘AI in Higher Education’.

The transformation brought about by (generative) Artificial Intelligence (AI) goes to the heart of the university's core tasks: generating and imparting new insights, knowledge, and education. (Generative) AI is radically changing how we (are going to) teach, learn, and educate ourselves. A wide range of perspectives and approaches (Busse und Kleiber 2025) are already available, as are numerous attempts to classify and systematise so-called AI competencies and AI literacy. In any case, the urgency of continuing to address the epistemic, ethical, didactic, and pedagogical consequences of AI transformations in all areas of knowledge cannot be overemphasised.

Therefore, the UoC Competence Days "AI in Higher Education" aim to support, initiate, and promote current AI planning and AI developments in your disciplines, subjects, domains, and in teaching and learning, as well as in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary projects.
