KölnAlumni WELWEIT 2025 lädt internationale Alumae und Alumni der UoC zur 10. KAW Summer School ein. Vom 28.09. bis 02.10.2025 sollen unter dem Titel Fake² - Fake News und Deep Fakes aktuelle Fragen und Entwicklungen rund um die Themen Fake News und Deep Fakes diskutiert werden.
Verschiedene Forschungsdisziplinen beleuchten Risiken, Herausforderungen aber auch mögliche Chancen der rasanten technologischen Entwicklung von künstlicher Intelligenz und digitalen Medientechnologien. Die interdisziplinär ausgelegte Summer School soll Akademiker:innen und Praktiker:innen aus Bereichen der Medienwissenschaft, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Rechtswissenschaften und des Journalismus zusammen bringen.
WICHTIG: Die Bewerbungsfrist ist bereits abgelaufen.

Vom 04. bis 10.08.2024 fand die KölnAlumni WELTWEIT Summer School an der Universität zu Köln statt. Die diesjährige interdisziplinäre Fortbildungswoche im Rahmen einer Summer School, gefördert durch den Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienst und Cologne Summer Schools/Santander Universities, bot Raum für Antworten, Diskurse und Diskussionsmöglichkeiten rund um die Fragstellung "Wozu Feminismus?".
Dazu waren univeristätsinterne sowie -externe Referierende eingelden; abgerundet wurde das Programm durch einen Exkursionstag, sowie eine Welcome Ceremony und einen Abschlussabend. Die Welcome Ceremony fand für geladene Gäste im International House der Universität zu Köln statt; der Abschlussabend wurde im Teilnehmendenkreis mit einem Kegelabend inklusive Essen gestaltet.
Die 20 Alumnae und Alumni vertraten bei der Summer School 2024 die folgenden Länder: Ägypten, Belgien, China, Italien, Japan, Kanada, Kroatien, Mexiko, Taiwan, und die Türkei.
KölnAlumni WELTWEIT Summer School 2023
Finally we can announce that the KölnAlumni WELTWEIT Summer School 2023 will take place.
From 23 to 28 July, we will offer you an interdisciplinary training week in the form of a Summer School on the topic ‘Back to the Future’.
The application process has begun - you can now apply for the Summer School 2023.. The application deadline is 15 May 2023.
Please note:
As we can only offer a maximum of 20 spots and experience shows that the number of applicants exceeds this number, we have to inform you that not every application can be considered.
This year, the Summer School is only taking place on site in Cologne. Our KAW Summer School 2023 will be funded by the Cologne Summer Schools (Santander Universities) – this also means that you probably have to contribute a higher amount yourself.

5 night in a hotel including breakfast (Check-in sunday; Check-out friday) | Expenses are covered by KAW |
Lunch | € 25,00 in total for 5 seminar days per participant are covered by KAW |
Travel Expenses | Will be covered by KAW on a pro-rata basis (probably at least 50%); cash refund after the last day of the seminar |

The Summer School was once again a great success in 2022. Filled with exciting, interdisciplinary and interactive seminars, excursions and workshops, alumnae and alumni from all over the world were able to gain new insights into the topic of "human rights".
